Bill Lane

Bill Lane, a TMG consultant, has over 19-years experience in marketing, sales and field operations in both consumer
and business markets. Bill brings a wealth of business-to-business experience spanning a variety of general management
roles in the natural gas and HVAC industries. He has held Director and General Management level roles in both sales
and operations.
Bill's strengths are in driving sales and operational effectiveness by improving businesses and
developing new ventures and/or revenue streams to drive profitability. He has demonstrated proven success in
developing business cases, marketing and sales plans, organizational redesigns, compensation plans, and in defining
processes that integrate with the overall strategic direction of the company. Bill's strength in analytics lends
itself to the need for change, quantifying expectations, creating sound business plans, and executing on the delivery.
He has an excellent ability to identify and lead change to support sustainable improvements. Bill takes an
in-depth analytical approach to business and has an inherent ability to lead, support, coach and mentor others
through change.
Bill's collaborative approach to supporting others starts with his natural ability to build
relationships quickly. He takes a sincere and concerning approach with stakeholders to ensure they understand,
support, endorse and eventually lead change initiatives. He develops detailed analyses to support sound decision
making in a user-friendly manner and relies on thorough data interpretation to help quantify recommendations.
Bill has a MBA from Queen's University and a Certified Mechanical Engineering Technologist (CET) designation.
Additionally, he is completing his Certified Management Account (CMA) professional designation and is a trained
member of the Canadian Association of Management Consultants (CMC).
